Welcoming summer, protecting the climate

Cheers Brewshed Partners!

Last month, Coleman Agriculture and Yakima Chief Hops donated heaps of hops to ten Oregon Brewshed® Alliance partners who each then brewed a Wild & Scenic Earth Day collaboration beer to speak out for clean water and support our collective work to protect over 3,200 miles of Oregon's waterways as Wild & Scenic Rivers! Some of these delicious benefit beers are still pouring, so go enjoy a pint in the sunshine! Wild & Scenic West Coast Pilsner (Ecliptic) / Dam Free Imperial Hazy IPA (Falling Sky) / Earth Day Birthday DDH Hazy IPA (Fort George) / Tendril Session IPA (Grand Fir) / King Salmon Imperial IPA (Hopworks) / Meandering Path Extra Pale (Little Beast) / Oregon Wild IPA (pFriem) / Future Flora Pale (Ruse) / Skinny Dippin' Hazy IPA (Sunriver) / Canopyia (Worthy) Additionally, several partners including Hopworks, Hop Valley, and Worthy hosted Earth Day events and Schilling Cider hosted a month-long "Keep It Wild!" campaign all to benefit conservation in Oregon! Huge thanks to all of you for all you do and for using the power of beer and cider to help us continue advancing the River Democracy Act!

Oregon's mature and old-growth forests are our first line of defense against the impacts of climate change. These forests are not only breathtakingly beautiful but also vital to our state's ecosystem, offering safe haven for endangered wildlife and providing clean air and drinking water for communities - and breweries. Decades of aggressive logging practices have left us with few remaining older forests in Oregon. These forests are found almost exclusively on federal public land and are managed by the US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management. These agencies have now launched a rule-making process that could finally protect our mature and old-growth forests, and they are asking for public comments. Oregon Wild and a national coalition of partners are harnessing the power of this once-in-a-generation opportunity to take federal mature and old-growth logging projects off the table once and for all. And we need your help! Take action by submitting your comment and perspective to federal forest managers by June 20.

BREWSHED® PARTNERS OF THE MONTH!

Last month's Wild & Scenic Earth Day Collaboration Series wouldn't have been possible without the generous support of our friends at Coleman Agriculture and Yakima Chief Hops. We're so thankful to everyone at Coleman and YCH for helping advance conservation in Oregon! Cheers!

BREWSHED® BREWS IN THE WILD!

Huge thanks to our friends at Little Beast Brewing for being such great Brewshed Alliance partners and brewing a special beer to help us protect Wild & Scenic Rivers in Oregon! This Meandering Path Extra Pale was extra delicious surrounded by balsamroot and lupine in full bloom atop McCall Point two weeks ago!
