“Since 1984, BridgePort Brewing has been brewing delicious beer in a sustainable manner. Over the years, we’ve implemented multiple programs in order to reduce waste, reduce power usage, and reuse materials. We use current technology to aid in reducing water consumption for the brewery and BrewPub. Partnering with Oregon Brewshed® Alliance was an easy decision and all of us at BridgePort Brewing are excited to aid in protecting our clean water source in Oregon.”

Sustainability

It doesn’t matter who you are. You can’t live in Portland without living sustainably. Coincidentally, we believe brewing has an inherently sustainable side: heat exchangers are integral to the brewing process, and we re-use heat within the building. Our malts and bottles come from eight miles away. Spent grain and yeast are used as feed at a local dairy. We compost. We recycle. We keep a small footprint. Brewing is one of the many ways nature is nice to us. We try to be nice in return.
